Description
Last weekend we took a day trip to New Hampshire. In many spots along the route, there were patches of Black-eyed Susans. Their cheery yellows filled the right aways, and they waved their black crowns as we passed. They are native to NorthAmerica and a very popular wildflower that is often grown in home gardens. They are a member of the sunflower family. Butterflies and bees are attracted to them for nectar and they bloom all summer long.
I painted this Black-eyed Susans on Arches 140 lb. Cold-Pressed watercolor paper with Dr. Ph. Martin Hydrus Watercolors and Daniel Smith sap green.
