Description
Many times I drive past beautiful winter streams too rushed or too cold to stop for photos. Two weeks ago I decided that photo opportunities to capture winter scenes in Maine were running out so, on the 17th of March; I took the reference photos for this painting. My first photos were in the flat light, but after I returned to the car, the sun came out. I quickly went back to capture the same scenes in the sunlight. This spot is almost bare of snow now. I am ready; spring can now.
