Description
Daffodils and Crocuses are some of the first signs of springtime. Here in Maine, the crocuses are just beginning to bloom. The long gray winter is about to be taken over by deep rich greens and hundreds of flower-covered nooks, crannies, and hillsides. I used a reference photo that I took last year for this painting because I cannot wait for this year’s flower. Bring on the spring!
I painted these flowers on 140 lbs. Arches Hot Pressed paper with Dr. Ph. Martin Hydrus Watercolor Paints, Daniel Smith Sap Green, and Cadmium Red watercolor paint.
