Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life. -- Congratulations on your recent sale of this amazing Work!

Artist's Description

This painting represents the view that I saw from my bathroom window. I was up in the middle of the night and, for some unknown reason, chose to peer out the window. The sky was alight with millions of stars with the moon nestled amongst them. I thought I don’t remember seeing a sky lit like that since I was a child. The beauty of the night sky kept coming back into my mind, so I tried to paint it but God is the master artist.
I dripped paint onto wet paper to get the sky color variations then spatter the silver with a toothbrush. The silver iridescent paint repels the other colors making the distribution of stars.

While still attending elementary school in a one room schoolhouse in the Nebraska Sandhills, she began painting. For most of her adult life, she lived in the midwest and west. She studied art at Kansas State University, the Canton Museum of Art in Canton, Ohio, and the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, Colorado. In Colorado, she studied under Janet Nunn, an award...
