Artist's Description
Last winter after our first snow, I took pictures of one red maple leaf frozen in the snow. Shortly it was covered with another snow. Mid February, some of our snow melted and there lay that single leaf still bright red. Snows came again and covered the leaf. Late April as the last of our snow melted the red leaf still retained its color until the wind swept it away.
I painted the leaf with Dr. Ph Martin Hydrus Watercolor on 140 lb. Arches hot pressed watercolor paper.
