Description
When evening comes to the garden and darkness cloaks the night in velvet, the roses shine like moonbeams. Its time to breathe in the sweetness of childhood memories. Freshly mown hay wafts across the breeze, sparks of a thousand firefly gather around, and unseen wings flutter by. It is the subtleties of the garden that draws me into feast upon its beauty by lamplight. In the dwindled light is it the light colored blossoms that brighten the garden night and release their heady perfumes.
I painted this rose at night on Arches 140 lb. Cold-Pressed watercolor paper with Dr. Ph. Martin Hydrus Watercolors.
